Pastor Paul Baker has served with the people of Evergreen since July of 2006. He comes to us from serving on staff at 1st UMC in Brookings SD. He believes our best response to God's covenant promise of love is to live a life which fulfills our membership vows; "we promise to support the church with our prayers, our presence, our gifts, and our service."
Paul received his theological education from many Sunday School teachers, pastors, and from his parents and siblings. He graduated from seminary at Boston University, with one semester of that time spent studying at Tuebingen University in Germany.
(I wanted to see how people lived back east.)

He has received training in Transformative Conflict Mediation at UND and also from the UM Just Peace Center's representatives.
